Adults:

  • Bean to Bar + Chocolate Creations!

    Overview: Discover where chocolate comes from and learn the art of creating chocolate from bean to bar • Hands-on activities include roasting, deshelling, grinding cacao beans, filling molds and working with chocolate, and finally, making chocolate-covered pretzels (optional add-on)! • The new 35-foot screen and lighting rig add a great dimension to the exploration of the role food plays in Jewish culture • This workshop is geared toward older teens and adults.

  • The Art of Truffle Making

    Overview: Participants are introduced to the art of truffle making, choose from a variety of fillings and ganaches, and proceed to create mouth-watering truffles and chocolate-covered pretzels (optional add-on). • Hands-on activities include inserting ganaches, applying the outer layer of chocolate, and scraping clean the surface of the mold • While the chocolate sets, participants take an in-depth look at the fascinating history of Jews and chocolate; the new 35ft screen and lighting rig add a great dimension to the presentation!

Families and Young Audiences

Overview: Discover where chocolate comes from, make chocolate from bean to bar, and create jumbo kosher-themed items from chocolate • Hands-on activities include roasting, deshelling, grinding cacao beans, applying chocolate to Jewish-themed lollipop molds, and making chocolate-covered pretzels (optional add-on)! • The new 35-foot screen and lighting rig add a fun dimension to the exploration of the role food plays in Jewish culture • This workshop is geared toward families and young audiences.

Overview: In this workshop, CITs (chocolatiers in training) learn the art of truffle making! After choosing from a variety of fillings, they proceed to create mouth-watering truffles and chocolate-covered pretzels (optional add-on) • Hands-on activities include inserting ganaches, applying an outer layer of chocolate, and scraping off the surface of the mold • As the chocolate sets, the audience will discover the fascinating connection of Jews and chocolate; the new 35ft screen and lighting add a great dimension to the presentation!
